About PONI

PONI stands for "Person of Non-Interest."

You don't need to disappear from the internet to stay safe. You need to understand what you're sharing, make a few intentional choices, and build habits that make you a less interesting target for scammers and data collectors.

That's what being a PONI means. It's not about being invisible, anonymous, or paranoid. It's about being informed, prepared, and less exposed to risks you can avoid.

What we do

PONI is an independent consumer education brand. We make digital safety understandable for everyone: parents, grandparents, and everyone in between. No technical background required.

We cover:

How we do it

Who's behind PONI

PONI was founded by Pharns Genece, a cybersecurity and AI-governance practitioner.

I spent years making sure powerful machines only did what they were supposed to.

PONI is where that experience gets translated for everyone else. Most people will never read a security framework. They still deserve to know which settings matter, which messages are scams, and what to do when something goes wrong.

You'll see the PONI brand on our posts, not my face. That's deliberate. The lessons should stand on their own, and being present without being interesting is the whole idea. But a faceless brand should never be an unaccountable one, so here's who I am and how to check.

Background gives context. It doesn't replace evidence. Every PONI claim still has to stand on its own sources.

PONI does not claim endorsement from any government agency, certification body, standards organization, or research institution. PONI offers general education, not professional advice for your specific situation.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it in the open: we correct or update the post and say what changed. If a post has to come down, for example because a step could cause harm, we'll say so and why, not quietly delete it.

Spotted an error, an outdated step, or something unclear? Email corrections@beaponi.com. Tell us which post it was and what's wrong. A source link helps. Corrections may be noted publicly, but never with your name or email address.

This inbox isn't a helpline. If you think you're being scammed right now, call your bank using the number on your card, then report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
